Erin Furimsky is a studio artist and educator in Normal, Illinois. She received a BFA from the Pennsylvania State University and an MFA from The Ohio State University. Furimsky has exhibited her work nationally and international and reproductions of her ceramic work have been featured in numerous books and catalogs. She stars in a DVD called Layered Surfaces with Erin Furimsky. In the past Furimsky was an emerging artist for NCECA and had artist residencies at the Archie Bray Foundation, The Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts and the Oregon College of Art and Design.
As an educator Furimsky has been a featured presenter at national workshops, as well as serving as a visiting professor at Illinois State University and Heartland Community College, both in Normal, IL.
